San Jose Church Included in New Coffee Table Book

What an affirmation of the beauty of our church in San Jose, Camarines Sur!

A new coffee table book, Philippine Church Facades, has just been launched last September 3. This book by Fr. Pedro Galende, OSA, features beautiful facades of 160 colonial heritage churches from all over the country.

The list of churches included in the book shows San Jose as one of the three churches from Camarines Sur, the other two being Naga and Peñafrancia.

I am raring to get hold of a copy to check what the good priest and director of the San Agustin Museum has written about the facade of our church. As soon as I get to see the book, I will provide an update on this.

Hi, I'm the blogger of simbahan.net and I would like to thank you for visiting and linking to my site. I'm also the primary photographer of the said book and right now, I'm preparing a list for the 2nd volume. Maybe you can help me in drawing up the list by recommending churches that I can include in your area. Criteria should be that facade must not have been renovated and goes back to the Spanish Colonial period.

Right now, I'm considering the following churches:

- Lagonoy
- Sagnay
- Caramoan
- Milaor
- Bombon
- Nabua

If you have other suggestions, please email me. You can send one by clicking on "contact me" at my simbahan.net site.
